The Fashion District

the Fashion District

Right in the heart of downtown Los Angeles, the Fashion District is, as its name suggests, one of the best places in the world to stock up on clothing. As well as offering a range of big name designer boutiques, visitors to the fashion district will also find plenty of discount warehouses offering clothing from big names at a fraction of the regular price.

The Beverly Center

With more than 160 brand name stores, and dozens of restaurants available, The Beverley Center is one of the main shopping centres in all of Los Angeles. Aside from shops like Bloomingdales, and Macy's, the Beverley Center in West Hollywood also boasts a 13-screen movie theatre where you can watch the latest releases when you take a break from bargain hunting.

Melrose Avenue

If you want to see the birthplace of the valley girl mall shopping culture that has defined LA in the last few years, take a trip along Melrose Avenue at anytime of the day or night. There are hundreds of shops along this street that cuts through Hollywood on its way from Beverley Hills to Downtown Los Angeles, as well as pavement cafes and fashionable bars where you can take a break from shopping.

Venice Beach

Venice beach is known as the bohemian capital of Los Angeles, a place where the arts and crafts movement and hippie ideals are still adhered to. If you have tired of the commercialism of the larger malls and designer outlets, and want to pick up some art, or browse through the wares of newer designers, then take a trip through the beachfront arcades of Venice. Here you will find plenty of inspirational designs and styles at a fraction of the prices that you might pay in central Los Angeles.
